portland

So I'm in Portland, OR, visiting my little bro. It's awesome here, but being with my entire immediate family all at the same time is, well, bad. For all of us. We are so dysfunctional it hurts. Ah well.

There are two intense hotties who work at the front desk. One is Cora, and she is just slightly punk rock-y, while still somehow being all dignifiedy and professional-looking. I was smitten from the moment I met her. Oh well. The other is Mesatch, who's from Kenya, and smiles at me a LOT, and maybe he's just really friendly, but I hope not, 'cuz I think he is just the hottest thing ever. *swooooon!*

Let's see... other wonderful things about Portland are my friend-from-Smith, Amanda, who I got to hang out with yesterday. *joy!* Also, the Japanese superstore Urajimaya, which is essentially a chunk of Japan in the middle of Beaverton, OR. So much hotness. *ponders* Also, did you know that Portland has more strip clubs than any other American city? Not bad, eh? *grin* AND! AND a place called Voodoo Donut that has marvelous donuts, including the original Voodoo Donut, which is shaped like a little man, jelly-filled, and with a pretzel stick stabbed into his squishy jelly center. There is also a chocolate-covered "Cock and Balls" donut that is, I kid you not, over a foot and a half long. It is a work of art.

Ok. That's all for this update, 'cuz I'm hogging the free internet in the lobby. I love you all! Bye!

Tea Zone (? I think that's the name, is in downtown Portland) kicks ass. As does Powells Books.

I want a Voodoo Donut.

My mom loves Tea Zone with a passion that borders on madness. I keep passing it when it's closed. Life = pain, ne?
